Joe Hanneman

Since December 2021, Joseph M. Hanneman has been documenting the hidden costs of the government response to Jan. 6, 2021. Family lives destroyed. Mothers and fathers bankrupted. Jail sentences meted out in the majority of cases. So many tragic stories related to the weaponization of the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department.

He was most recently an investigative reporter for Blaze Media, where he and Steve Baker broke many news stories on Jan. 6 and the infamous pipe-bomb investigation.

Hanneman co-wrote and starred in three Jan. 6 documentaries for The Epoch Times: The Real Story of Jan. 6, the Capitol Hill Tapes, and the Real Story of Jan. 6 Part II: the Long Road Home.

During the taping of one of the films, he reflected on the importance of honest journalism.

Hanneman has spent more than 41 years in journalism, communications, and marketing. Prior to Blaze Media, he wrote for The Catholic World Report. In his newspaper days he wrote for the Racine Journal Times, the Wisconsin State Journal, and the Chicago Tribune.
