Journalist Steve Baker was at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 and was later charged by the Biden U.S. Justice Department with four misdemeanor crimes for doing his job. Video of Baker being paraded in handcuffs by two FBI special agents racked up more than 14 million views on X. The case against him was dismissed with prejudice after the January 2025 inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th president of the United States.
Baker spent more than 2 1/2 years as an investigative reporter for Blaze Media before co-founding Veritas Regnat LLC. Prior to that, he was a columnist at the Pragmatic Constitutionalist, where his following grew to more that 40,000 readers.
